The Atacama Desert in Chile is home to some of the darkest skies in the world.  Not a single noise distracts from the grand show the nightsky has to offer.  The Atacama Desert eco region occupies a continuous strip for nearly 1,600 km along the narrow coast of the northern third of Chile.   Martin Heck is the founder of Timestorm Films in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.  A timelapse cinematographer since 2007, he specializes in ultra high resolution motion-control timelapse and has over 10 years of shooting experience in difficult environments around the globe.
