"Swing the Mood" is a medley of popular swing and rock and roll songs from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, created by Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, a British novelty pop music act.  The song was released as a single in the UK in July 1989 and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, staying at the top for five weeks.  The medley includes samples from songs such as "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller, "Chattanooga Choo Choo" by The Andrews Sisters, "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley & His Comets, and "Tutti Frutti" by Little Richard, among others.  The samples are mixed together with various sound effects and the voice of a fictional character named Jive Bunny, who "hosts" the medley.  "Swing the Mood" was a commercial success, not only in the UK but also in many other countries around the world, including the United States, where it reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The song and its accompanying music video became popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s, contributing to the revival of interest in swing and rock and roll music from the mid-20th century.
