The WingsTV videographer explains: "I was positioned on a bridge over the canal and this "head on" shot of Lee Proudfoot flying Spitfire MH434 is probably the best shot I have ever filmed."  "One of my favourite days filming was in Yverdon (Switzerland) with the Breitling Fighters making a film for a series called 'Airshow World.'  There was a canal next to the airfield and I joked that it woud be a great sequence if they could fly down it,not really expecting them to do it."  "However Ray Hanna thought it might be doable and after a lot of discussion and planning we went ahead with it."
The Supermarine Spitfire (produced from 1938 to 1948) is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries before, during, and after World War II.  Many variants were built, using several wing configurations, and it was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft.
