The king of opera with the king of soul, it's just perfect!  Luciano Pavarotti (1935 - 2007) was an Italian operatic tenor who also crossed over into popular music, eventually becoming one of the most commercially successful tenors of all time.  James Brown (1933 - 2006) was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, musician, record producer and bandleader.  A progenitor of funk music and a major figure of 20th century popular music and dance, he is often referred to as the "Godfather of Soul".  James Brown performed with Luciano Pavarotti in Pavarotti’s home Modena, Italy on May 28,2002 for a concert titled, “Pavarotti & Friends.”
