The king of opera with the king of soul, it's just perfect!  Luciano Pavarotti (1935 - 2007) was an Italian operatic tenor who also crossed over into popular music, eventually becoming one of the most commercially successful tenors of all time.  James Brown (1933 - 2006) was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, musician, record producer and bandleader.  A progenitor of funk music and a major figure of 20th century popular music and dance, he is often referred to as the "Godfather of Soul".  James Brown performed with Luciano Pavarotti in Pavarotti”™s home Modena, Italy on May 28,2002 for a concert titled, “Pavarotti & Friends.”
