Masaka Kids Africana is a Uganda-based organization that helps children who have gone through some of the worst experiences a child could face — but through dance and song, these children connect to each other and the world.   They see their own potential — they have hope for their future.   There are over a million orphaned children in Uganda which is why it is so important that organizations like this exist.   Suuna Hassan, the founder and CEO of Masaka Kids Africana, explains that the nonprofit is “a community-based organization” supporting Ugandan children, many of whom have “lost one or both parents through the devastation of war and famine.”    Masaka is a city in the Buganda Region of Uganda, west of Lake Victoria.
