Definitions:  Macro Photography: Extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size.  Arthropod: an invertebrate animal having an exoskeleton (external skeleton), a segmented body, and jointed appendages.  Extension Tube: a tube used with interchangeable lenses to focus closer, useful in macro photography. It contains no optical elements; its sole purpose is to move the lens farther from the image plane. The farther away the lens is, the closer the focus, the greater the magnification.  thorax: a division of an animal's body that lies between the head and the abdomen.    Photography and Music by Thomas Shahan.
