During a cycling race in France, a horse jumps in the middle of the peloton and makes the way through to the winning position!

This is probably the famous dark horse of the race. Although - he didn't win in the end. He was disqualified for... not having a bike. The incident happened in the Criterium International in 1997 in the south west of France near Toulouse.  The race was won by Laurent Jalabert's ONCE team-mate Marcelino Garcia.  The horse left the field only 20km from the finish.  Trivia: This clip also appears in the move "Amelie".
