Flyboard Air - A Real Hoverboard?
Sponsored link:
Watch French jet ski champion Franky Zapata hover 100 ft (30 m) above the ground on the revolutionary 'Flyboard Air.' Is this real?
Zapata Racing is the manufacturer of the "Flyboard," a jet platform tethered to a jet ski that lifts the rider 9 meters (29.5 ft)
into the air on a jet of water.
With their latest innovation, tethering is apparently no longer necessary.
The current prototype can hover for a maximum of 10 minutes and is supposed to be able to reach a speed of up to 90 mph (150 km/h).
Flight testing is done over water, where an engine failure would not end in disaster.
