When it is time to go for a flight, the birds wait patiently, watching until Moullec has prepared his microlight and is ready to take off.  Then, as he pushes the throttle forward they recognise the signal to move, stretch their wings, leave the ground and follow him into the sky.  A meteorologist by training, Mr Moullec made his first bird flight in 1996, soaring above France with 12 barnacle geese in tow.  He is heavily involved in activities to protect the critically endangered Dwarf Goose.
