The Academy Awards, or "Oscars", is an annual American awards ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements in the United States film industry.  The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature was first given in 2001.  The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, honoring the best films of 2016, will be held on February 26, 2017 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.  This year’s nominees for Best Animated Feature are: Moana, Zootopia, My Life as a Courgette, The Red Turtle, Kubo And The Two Strings.
