Burj Khalifa (Arabic: "Khalifa Tower"), known as Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration in 2010, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  With a total height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) and a roof height (excluding antenna) of 828 m (2,717 ft), the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest man-made structure in the world since 2008.  When the 3,280-feet-tall (1,000-meter-tall) Jeddah Tower, in Saudi Arabia, opens in 2020, it will knock Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa off its throne as the tallest skyscraper in the world by 236 feet (72 meters).
