The system also counts down to the next green light if you”™re already stopped at a red light.  It works by connecting your car via Wi-Fi with the central traffic control computer, which controls all the traffic lights in the city.  Audi says this can cut emissions by 15% and save about 900 million liters of fuel annually in Germany alone.
