Airbus A350 Flies Over Paris Air Show

Airbus flew its new Airbus A350 over the Paris Air Show adding an exclamation point to the 50th edition of the event at Le Bourget airport in France.
Airbus and Boeing ”“ with its 787 Dreamliner ”“ are engaged in a battle for supremacy in a new generation of lightweight carbon-composite jets designed to save fuel and open new long-distance routes.
The A350 is built with 70 percent advanced materials with both the fuselage and wings made mostly of carbon composites.
The wings are the largest ever produced for a wide-body plane.
According to Airbus, the A350 XWB uses 25 percent less fuel than the Boeing 777 and an 8 percent less than the 787.
