Powered by the sun by day and its batteries by night, the 'Solar Impulse' aims to fly around the world by 2012 without using any fuel at all.
Bertrand Piccard flew around the world in a balloon in 1999. His new venture is to take his solar powered airplane around the globe in 2012. The wingspan of the 'Solar Impulse' plane is the size of a jumbo jet, but it only weights as much as a car.
