Having realised there was no official record of a round-the-world attempt in an Autogyro, pilot Norman Surplus decided to rectify that.
After crossing France, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Quatar, Oman, India, Burma, Thailand and Malaysia, the yellow Gyrocopter is now in the Philippines. (August 2010)

An autogyro (also known as gyroplane, gyrocopter, or rotaplane) is a type of rotorcraft which uses an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, to provide thrust.
