A wonderful piano piece expanding the Windows XP startup sound theme by Jim Owen, Microsoft employee, pianist & composer.
The Microsoft Orchestra premiered Jim Owen's piece "Welcome to Windows" arranged for full orchestra and laptop on July 2, 2006.
Unfortunately, there was not a recording made of the performance, and there are no plans for subsequent performances.
