The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.  Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb for 4th dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) over a 10-20 year period around 2560 BC.
Giza, is the 3rd largest city in Egypt, located on the west bank of the Nile River, 20 km (12 m) southwest of Cairo.
