Electric skateboard with 'Kinect Sensor' uses the gestures of the rider to control the 800 watt electric motor and accelerates it to speeds of up to 32 mph (51 km/h).

Raising the hands activates the system, moving the hands forward accelerates it and pulling the hands back slows it down. As with regular skateboards, changing direction is done by leaning. The project also uses video recognition, speech recognition, localization data and accelerometer data to determine what the user wants to do.   via: gizmag
