The T-50 can do the legendary "loop the loop", "bell", "barrel" and even the "cobra" maneuver.  It can stop in the air down to a speed of 0 km/h (mph) and also easily recover from a tailspin.  It can reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.3 (2,440 km/h, 1,520 mph).  The T-50 prototype first flew on 29 January 2010.  The first production aircraft is slated for delivery starting in late 2016 or early 2017.  The aircraft is expected to have a service life of up to 35 years.
