This is an experiment obviously. There is a voice over a loudspeaker just after the implosion: "Siebenhundertundsechzig! Gewonnen hat Dr. Ing... " ("760! The winner is Dr. Ing...."). 760 is probably the amount of pressure in millibars and that there were bets at which point it would implode.   (Standard atmospheric pressure at sea level is about 1,013 millibars.)
