An African caracal jumped high into the air trying to catch a bird in flight and then still manages to land smoothly on his four paws.  The caracal is a medium-sized wild cat characterised by long tufted ears that are black on the back, long canine teeth, a short face, long legs and robust build. It weighs about 18-40 lb (8'18 kg).
