High Altitude Venus Operational Concept (HAVOC) is a set of crewed NASA mission concepts to the planet Venus.  It contemplates the entirety of the human portions of the missions to be conducted from lighter than air craft or from orbit and de-emphasizes traditional landings.  While temperatures on the planet's surface are about 860??F (460??C), between the altitudes of 50km and 60km the pressure and temperature can be compared to regions of the Earth's lower atmosphere. The atmosphere of Venus is also dense enough to protect astronauts from ionising radiation from space. The conceptual airship would float around the planet, being blown by the wind. It could, usefully, be filled with a breathable gas mixture such as oxygen and nitrogen, providing buoyancy. Music: "War and Hope Female Vox" by Underground Music.
