The planes were released at an altitude of 122 503 feet (37,339 m) – about three times the altitude at which a commercial passenger plane flies – with the halp of a helium balloon, which then burst and fell back down to earth. The team found the remains of the balloon about 300 kilometres from the Wolfsburg (Lower Saxony) launch site. The paper airplanes could have landed anywhere so make sure you watch the skies!   projectspaceplanes.com
